Jamaica – ya man!

Yesterday was Jamaica and it was awesome! We had been warned that Ocho Rios can be dangerous if you’re not careful, so we decided it was better safe than sorry and we booked a tour through the cruiseline. We got a sailboat tour of some of the island and then went to see this waterfall called Dunn’s Falls. We were told we would be hiking the waterfall … what we didn’t know is that we would be climbing UP the waterfall itself. It was so amazing. Of course, I couldn’t bring a camera or else it would have gotten ruined, but the guide carried a video camera and sold DVDs at the end of the tour. We bought one and are just planning on making copies. We also got one still shot. But both of those will have to wait until we get back to Ft. Lauderdale and can get copies made. It was gorgeous up there!

After the hike, we took another sailboat ride and then headed back to the port. Then we went shopping. We saw this little program thing so we stopped to watch – these guys were doing all sorts of fire tricks. One of them even used me to help him with one of his tricksPlease excuse the look on my face – I was just so shocked when he started licking the fire! Riley and Trace: NEVER EVER try that! Another guy was doing the limbo and this was how far down he got. And then to top it all off, he did it with the sticks on fire! It was pretty cool to watch. I also got a video of part of his routine so you guys could see. Pretty impressive stuff. Besides that, we just shopped and went to the beach at Margaritaville. The weather was perfect and it was an all around great day. Jamaica was green and gorgeous!

Well folks - that was our last stop. Today we are at sea all day on our way back to Ft. Lauderdale … see ya’ll soon.
